Arachne is an information-economy corporation whose official services include network security consulting, data brokerage, and communications infrastructure management. In practice, Arachne is the dominant power in Tau Ceti IV's information shadow market — they monitor, collect, and sell data at every level of colonial society. Their surveillance networks extend into corporate, UESC, and civilian infrastructure alike. Arachne does not manufacture weapons or control territory; they control something more valuable: knowledge. Their runners tend toward infiltration and reconnaissance specialisations.
