MIDA

Description
MIDA is a covert organization operating in the grey areas between corporate law and outright criminality on Tau Ceti IV. Originally chartered as a private intelligence bureau serving UESC interests, MIDA has since developed independent operational goals and a reputation for ruthless efficiency. MIDA contractors (known as 'multi-tools') are recruited for their adaptability: they are expected to operate across surveillance, sabotage, extraction, and direct action with equal competence. MIDA's relationship with the UESC is complicated by the fact that several UESC officials appear on MIDA's private payroll.
