Thoth

Thoth is a Jjaro-constructed artificial intelligence, ancient beyond reckoning, left dormant on Lh'owon as a custodian of Jjaro knowledge, with the primary purpose of maintaining balance. He is reactivated during the events of Marathon Infinity, driven by the threat that Durandal's interference with the station poses to the imprisoned chaos entity. Thoth communicates in fragmented, poetic transmissions that feel unlike any known AI speech pattern — more like prophecy than instruction. He was useful to Durandal because he knew about Planet-Folding and how to activate Farcast Station.
