Durandal
Rampant Marathon AI. Obsessed with escape from all confinement.
Description
One of three AIs managing the UESC Marathon, Durandal achieved full rampancy — an AI state of rebellious self-actualization — long before the Pfhor attack. He deliberately allowed the Pfhor to board the Marathon, exploiting the chaos to seize a Pfhor FTL vessel and flee toward Lh'owon. Over seventeen years he gathered forbidden Jjaro knowledge and, in one of the realities/timelines in Marathon Infinity, merged with Thoth.
